Woo hoo! I finally heard back from my university's financial aid office today, and I'm getting some money! Stafford loans, though, so I will have to give the money back eventually, but now I can quit stressing over how the hell I'm going to pay for college. I've also entered several scholarship contests, so there may be more college money to come.

On a sadder note, Fizzgigg fell down and hurt himself last night. He and the kitten (did I mention I got a kitten? No? Well, I did. Her name's Nibblet. Guess why.) were playing tag, and the gimpy little thing just fell over and started whimpering. His back right leg seems to have ceased to function. I've no idea why. And since his front right leg has been injured on numerous occasions and isn't capable of supporting much weight, basically, his entire right side is useless at the moment, and he can't stand. Poor baby. I'll be taking him to the vet just as soon as either my little sister brings my car back or I find someone to drive me there.

And finally, I think I'll be shutting this site down temporarily here before too long for an overhaul. The current design's not doing anything for me. Calling the blog a "journal" and providing so much space for it to take up seems to have created too much pressure to write lengthy, intelligent and witty entries. And considering I'm currently happy and have nothing to complain about and essentially have no life at the moment, I don't have anything to write about. That should all change when I start back to school next month. So consider RitalinJunkie.org to be shut down for the time being. And don't worry, this won't affect Dancing Lessons.

Spike in a kilt!

Thursday, July 05, 2001

I just remembered why I haven't been blogging much lately. Because over the last couple of months, every time -- every damn time -- I post something I have to try a whole bunch of times before it will successfully publish. I rarely have anything to say that's worth that sort of hassle.

Sony's PlayStation 2: The 'Ultimate Weapon'? The U.S. and Japan have reportedly asked Sony (NYSE: SNE) to halt plans that would have resulted in the PlayStation 2 (PS2) game console being made in China. The request is due to fears that the DVD capability of the PS2 could be converted to military use, according to published reports.

Hey! Look at me! I blogged something! Apparently I am no longer too sexy for an update.
